Minister’s Musings

A New Year greets us yet again as we move into 2025. We do so after a challenging end to 2024 which has tested and strengthened each of us in our own way. We have come through it with grace and strength ready to step into the blessings that Spirit will be bringing our way in 2025 as a church and as individuals.

I am not often surprised but am consistently amazed as to how the movement of Spirit and how it manages bring my life from where I was at this time last year to where I am now. I say respect because I stand in awe at this great Presence and Power that adjusts and guides my life from an infinite depth of Truth well beyond my questions and doubts or even my dreams and aspirations. Biblically, this awe and respect for God is sometimes referred to as fear. I don’t fear God. I must admit to my humanity, though, and that I sometimes fear the future. Even so, I am able to release that fear as I know that the same Presence and Power that holds the planets in their orbits is working in and through my life to bring the answers, the conclusions, the questions, and adventures that are mine to experience from year to year on life’s journey.

As we go through this next year, there are bound to be some ups and downs. Opportunities in both cases, to take pause and remember that Presence and Power which is encouraging you onward to your greatness. One of the greatest blessings that I have as a minister is to be able to observe the activity of Spirit not only in my life but also in the lives of those I serve. And I will undoubtedly stand in awe and respect for that activity in your lives as this upcoming year rolls along bringing with it a new creation of our church and ourselves.

This new year promises to be one filled with the energy of creation as we move forward into our future together and into 2025 with a confidence in the Truth that guides us.

With You in the Heart of Christ
Rev. David
